Ireland's producer register company
Ireland runs its register through a company set up for the job. PRL is the Irish EPR producer register, Producer Register Limited, for electronics, batteries and tyres, and your registration number, with its stream indicators, has to appear on invoices, credit notes and delivery documents.
Packaging is separate: it runs through Repak, and drink containers through the Re-turn deposit scheme.
What PRL covers
- Electronics: compliance through WEEE Ireland or ERP Ireland.
- Batteries: with the EU Battery Regulation adding per-state registration and a representative duty from 18 August 2025.
- Tyres: through Circol ELT, extended to all tyre categories from 1 January 2025.

Getting listed with PRL
- Confirm your product stream and its regulations.
- If established in another member state, appoint an Ireland-based authorised representative by written mandate (see below).
- Register with Producer Register Limited.

- Display your registration number on commercial documents and report volumes.
