Slovakia's reserved-products register
Slovakia files producer duties under a category of its own, "reserved products". RVVV is the Slovak EPR producer register, the Register of Producers of Reserved Products, kept by the Ministry of the Environment and filed electronically through the ISOH system since 2021.
For each reserved product you either comply on your own or hand the duties to a producer responsibility organisation.
What counts as a reserved product
Seven reserved-product streams sit under the Waste Act, each with its own paragraphs.
- Packaging: with a separate beverage deposit-return system since 2019.
- Electronics and batteries: batteries now also under the EU Battery Regulation from 18 August 2025.
- Vehicles and tyres: each a standalone stream with end-of-life financing duties.
- Graphic paper: handled as a non-packaging product, collective fulfilment only.
- Single-use plastics: added in 2021, carrying litter clean-up and awareness costs.
Does this apply to you
The duty falls on producers that first place reserved products on the Slovak market, importers and distance sellers included.
Filing through ISOH
- Confirm your products are reserved products under the Waste Act.
- If you have no Slovak office, appoint a Slovak authorised representative (see below).
- File your registration electronically in RVVV through the ISOH system.
- Comply individually or through a producer responsibility organisation.
- Report put-on-market data as required.
Foreign producers and the one-year mandate
A producer without a registered office or place of business in Slovakia appoints a splnomocnený zástupca established in Slovakia. The mandate is in writing and runs for at least one year.
That representative then takes on all the producer's duties, registration included, for the term of the mandate.
