The Czech end-of-life products register
Czechia files electronics, batteries and tyres under one heading, end-of-life products. Seznam výrobců is the Czech EPR producer register, the list of producers of end-of-life products under the 2020 Act, held by the Ministry of the Environment in the VISOH2 system.
You comply individually or through an authorised collective system, and the recycling fee shows as a line on your invoices.
What Seznam výrobců covers
- Electronics: long-standing producer responsibility, now under the End-of-Life Products Act.
- Batteries: five battery categories, with the EU Battery Regulation from 18 August 2025 and a Czech adapting amendment before Parliament.
- Tyres: treated as selected products, with take-back, recovery financing and reporting duties.
Vehicles are a special case. They are selected products too, but vehicle producers are excluded from this register and instead run a free take-back network for end-of-life vehicles.
Who has to register
Producers that first place electrical equipment, batteries or tyres on the Czech market, importers and distance sellers of electronics to Czech users included.
Filing through VISOH2
- Confirm your product falls under the End-of-Life Products Act.
- If you are not established in Czechia, appoint a Czech authorised representative (see below).
- Register in Seznam výrobců through VISOH2.
- Join an authorised collective system, or set up individual compliance.
- Report put-on-market data, finance take-back, and show the recycling fee on invoices.
Foreign producers and the representative
A producer not established in Czechia appoints a Czech-established authorised representative by written contract, who is then entered in the register. Distance sellers of electronics to Czech users comply directly or through that representative.
Czech terms you will meet
- Seznam výrobců: the register of producers of end-of-life products.

Czechia's other register
Packaging is handled under a separate Czech law and its own register, Seznam osob. This page is the end-of-life products register for electronics, batteries and tyres.
